Coinbase Base Transaction Pending? A Troubleshooting Guide
Coinbase recently resolved delayed Base sends. Here is how to distinguish an exchange delay from a Base network problem.

Coinbase reported delayed sends for assets on Base on September 10, 2026 and later marked the incident resolved. Base’s own status page currently shows no incident for September 19. That distinction matters when troubleshooting a transaction that still appears pending.
Check where the transaction is stuck
Start with the transaction hash. If there is no hash yet, the transfer may still be waiting inside the exchange or wallet service. If a hash exists, inspect it on a Base block explorer to see whether it is pending, successful or reverted.
Exchange delay versus network delay
A Coinbase incident can affect sends even when the Base chain itself is operating. Conversely, a transaction can fail on-chain because of contract logic, insufficient gas settings or a destination issue even when Coinbase is healthy.
Safe troubleshooting steps
Do not send the same transfer repeatedly. Confirm the address, asset and network, check Coinbase and Base status pages, and keep the transaction hash. Ignore direct messages claiming they can accelerate a Base transaction in exchange for a fee or wallet connection.
